There are many different methods of working with dance as a subject or as a tool to explain other topics in school. In dance schools many classes looks different depending on what pedagogic background the teachers bring with them. By giving all the dance teachers who works with children the same intensive training, a dance school can easier higher their level of expertise and give more equal pedagogic quality. The consulting packages are adjusted after age groups and can be applied both in dance studios and in school rooms or gymnastic halls.
Therese Sahlin’s experiences as a dance teacher and as a pedagogue for school teachers at university has given her a great sense of what methods can be used when working with children/youths. With great practical and discussion exercises, the workshops gives the teachers a joined knowledge and tools to keep working with dance for children.
